Hackathon concept project to simplify movie selection

At the Bernhäckt hackathon in 2019, we took on the challenge to find a solution to the relatable problem of finding what movie to watch.
Our approach was an onboarding-like app that asks for your preference on a variety of categories in a playful way. Movies were rated in each of these categories and could therefore be given a score through a simple distance algorithm. At the end, the app would offer the three movies with the highest score.

During the 48h hours hackathon in Bern, we developed the UI concept and a proof of concept of the app using Vue.js and firebase.
Our weekend of hard work paid off and we won the first prize.
